Hello, I am Gyeong-min Jo, CEO of BlueMap Inc.

BlueMap was founded with a challenging spirit: "to make complex marine spatial data easily accessible and usable for everyone." Since our establishment in 2022, based on marine hydrographic data standards and GIS technology, we have been creating new standards and solutions across various domains,
including the S-100 Universal Hydro graphic Data Model, marine GIS, and marine digital twins.

What we value most is not technology itself, but the 'people' who create it. BlueMap's team members do not hesitate to tackle problems without predefined answers. We grow together in a horizontal culture where we respect each other's ideas and share opinions freely. An experimental spirit that does not fear failure, combined with continuous learning, has built the BlueMap of today.

What does BLUEMAP do?

BLUEMAP develops electronic charting, marine GIS, and data validation software built on the IHO S-100 international maritime standard. We work with government agencies and international standard bodies to turn ocean data into software anyone can use.

What products do you offer?

We offer six products — S-100 Viewer, Validation Check, 파란지도 (WebMap), Web ECDIS, OpenS-100, and the MRN System — covering everything from chart viewing and data validation to real-time mapping and shore-side monitoring.

Can government or public institutions use your services?

Yes. Our technology is already in live use across multiple government projects and standard infrastructure systems, spanning national R&D programs and commissioned projects.

How do you stay aligned with international standards?

We actively participate in international standard bodies like the IHO and IALA — engaging directly in how these standards are shaped, so our products reflect the latest specifications early and accurately.

Do you maintain any open-source projects?

Yes — OpenS-100 is an open-source library we started, installable via npm and pip for anyone to work with maritime data. We continue to grow it together with the community on GitHub.
